CHILDHOOD AND EARLY LIFE

In Surat, Gujarat, on October 11, 1993, Hardik Pandya was born. When Hardik was five years old, his father, Himanshu Pandya, closed his modest car finance company in Surat and relocated to Vadodara to give his sons access to better cricket training facilities. In Vadodara, Himanshu Pandya held a position as a loan agent.  He enrolled his two sons at the Vadodara cricket academy run by Kiran More. Due to a lack of funds, the Pandya family resided in a rented flat in Gorwa, and the brothers commuted to the cricket field in a used automobile.  Hardik attended MK High School up through the ninth grade before quitting to concentrate on cricket.

In club cricket, Hardik “won some matches single-handedly,” according to Krunal, and made consistent development in junior-level cricket. Hardik explained that his “attitude problems” led to his removal from his state age-group teams in an interview with the Indian Express. He went on to say that he was “simply an expressive child” and that he did not “want to hide his emotions.”

Hardik’s father claims that up until the age of 18, he bowled as a leg spinner before switching to fast bowling at the urging of Baroda coach Sanath Kumar.

AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

He made history by becoming the first Indian to grab four wickets and score more than 30 runs in the same T20I.

On his ODI debut, he became the fourth Indian to be named player of the match.

With his 26 runs, he broke the record for India’s Test innings for most runs scored in a single over.

In the ICC Champions Trophy Final, the fastest fifty-over ever was scored.

Pandya became the first Indian batsman to get a Test century just before lunch in a Test match against Sri Lanka in Pallekele when he hit his first century.

PERSONAL LIFE AND LEGACY

On January 1st, 2020, Pandya became engaged to Serbian actress and dancer  Nataša Stanković, who currently resides in India. Agastya Pandya, their first child, was born shortly on July 30, 2020, seven months after their marriage.

Krunal Pandya, his brother, has also represented both India and the Mumbai Indians. In January 2021, their father Himanshu Pandya passed away from a heart attack.
