Modi received his M.A. in political science from Gujarat University in Ahmadabad after growing up in a small town in northern Gujarat. She used to clean the dishes, fill water, and work as a labourer; you can imagine what a mother had to do to raise her children, the difficulties she went through.”

Heeraben, the mother of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, passed away early on 30 December 2022. She was 99.
