KK QUOTES

I can’t plan. Life also never sticks to a plan.

A house should make one feel relaxed and comfortable.

It’s just that my constitution doesn’t allow me to stand next to people who smoke.

If I can’t connect to the lyrics of a song, I just can’t sing. I backed out of many songs for the same reason.

Once you sing a song, it’s your song. Once a music director entrusts you with a song, it’s your song. So I feel equally happy when the crowd sings along ‘Pal’ or ‘Thadap Thadap.’

TRIVIA

kk singer full nameIn addition to performing in Bollywood, the renowned singer contributed his voice to more than 3000 commercials. In 1985, he began singing jingles as a career.

KK’s musical journey began with him listening to his father’s tape recordings of his mother’s Malayali songs.

After receiving an enthusiastic response to the song “Jab Andhera Hota Hai” from Raja Rani (1973) when he performed the song on stage, KK began taking singing seriously in the second grade.

KK married Jyothi Krishna, his childhood sweetheart. It wasn’t as simple as it sounds to get her hand and make holy vows with her, though. He had to find a job for himself, which he did. He eventually left his job as a salesman after working there for six months. He resumed working on jingles after his wife and father persuaded him to pursue music.

KK was never a fan favorite at award shows, despite the numerous chart-topping Bollywood songs he sang. For the song Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno, he only received one significant award in 2009. He claimed that he never received honors because he never planned to.

Despite the fact that KK’s songs were extremely well-liked by listeners, KK asserted that most people were unfamiliar with him.

KK enjoyed being the underdog in the music business, but he was discouraged by the fact that listeners never took the time to look up the singer’s name.

KK was not a classically trained singer and never pursued formal musical training.

KK was an ardent supporter of Kishore Kumar, another legendary KK.

KK received his degree in commerce from Delhi University. He was a versatile performer with a voice that worked well with songs sung in all languages.
